Where are Madoff sons now?

Bernie Madoff had two sons, Mark and Andrew, who were both involved in his investment firm. Mark Madoff was the director of trading for the firm’s stock-trading business, while Andrew Madoff was the director of operations for the firm’s market-making business.

After the revelation of their father’s fraud, both Mark and Andrew came under intense scrutiny and were investigated by the authorities. In 2010, Mark Madoff committed suicide by hanging himself in his New York apartment, on the second anniversary of his father’s arrest. He was 46 years old at the time.

Andrew Madoff, meanwhile, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2003 and underwent several rounds of chemotherapy during his father’s fraud trial. He passed away on September 3, 2014, at the age of 48, from complications related to his cancer. Before his death, Andrew had been cooperating with the authorities in their investigation of his father’s fraud and had maintained his innocence in any wrongdoing.
