When Inter Miami was brought to life in 2014, Marcelo Claure and Masayoshi Son also had a fair share in the club. Claure possessed the joint highest ownership with the Mas Brothers at 37.5%, while Son held a 15% ownership share.

However, in September 2021, Inter Miami CF released a club statement saying that David Beckham, along with brothers Jorge and Jose Mas, had successfully acquired the ownership shares previously held by Marcelo Claure and Masayoshi Son.

Miami’s fans have found a reason to be excited with the news of Lionel Messi joining the club as the champion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
