Owen Da Gama has explained why he turned down offers from PSL clubs, insisting he is no longer available for teams with no vision. In his latest interview, the veteran coach disclosed that there were offers from several PSL and NFD teams, but he rejected them, citing some clubs want impossible instant success. WHAT HAS BEEN SAID “I spoke to a few teams at the beginning of the season, but once I understood their thinking, I just thought this is not the project I want to be part of,” Da Gama told FARPost. “I am not a fly-by-night. But what I do believe is that you can make changes, but football is a process. “When I look at those teams that I spoke to at the beginning of the season, they are all struggling. I knew that I could not be part of something like that,” he added. “So there are very good teams that are well run professionally in the PSL and the NFD. Obviously, I am looking forward to being part of a professional set-up.” THE BIGGER PICTURE The nomadic tactician has over 20 years of coaching in the game of football in South Africa, having started at the now-defunct Silver Stars in the 2000/01 season.
