How did DJ Maphorisa get shot?

Maphorisa and his team were reportedly driving from a gig in Vosloorus when occupants in an Audi A4 opened fire on their Mercedes Benz bus.

Reports suggested DJ Maphorisa, whose real name is Themba Sekowe, was with Kabelo Motha, who is known as Kabza De Small, on the night of the attack.

On their way from a show at Biblos Café, Maphorisa and four others, who have reportedly been traveling in a Mercedes-Benz tour bus, were approached by a car when the occupants started firing at them.

This was confirmed by Capt Lesetja Mathobela of Katlehong North SAPS, who said the motive for the shooting is still not known.

According to Sunday World, the two were showered by a hail of bullets on the 8th of February. However, the two managed to dodge a hail of bullets but some of their travelling party are in ICU. Rumour has it that two hitmen fired shots at the DJ’s Mercedes-Benz tour bus in East Rand injuring occupants inside the bus.

The police have already confirmed the shooting. The suspected gunmen were driving an Audi A4. It is said that the gunmen opened fire, firing from the back before they fired from the front and sped off.

However little is know about the number of people who were in the van but two casualties are in the ICU. The two injured artists are hospitalised and battling for their lives in ICU at the Union Hospital in Alberton.

Rumour has it that their new ace Vaal DJ Deetoy was one of the injured. The new kid on the block recently released his killer EP Petle Petle. Vaal Deetoy and others have since gone MIA from all social media platforms since the incident happened.
