Is Caicedo going to Liverpool?

Liverpool, have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign Moises Caicedo for a British record £110m ($140m).

Brighton, held an auction with a midnight cut-off on Thursday, with Liverpool the highest bidders. Chelseas bid for the 21-year-old was up to £100m.

Personal terms are yet to be agreed between Caicedo and Liverpool, but are expected to be a formality, with a medical planned for Friday.

Caicedo was expected to travel to Liverpool on Friday after a fee understood to be worth £111m was agreed between the Reds and Brighton; Chelsea have been pursuing midfielder all summer and were prepared to pay £100m; The Seagulls signed Caicedo for £4.5m in 2021

Liverpool’s offer was accepted by Brighton after a midnight deadline for bids for the midfielder was set on Thursday. It is understood Chelsea were prepared to offer £100m for the player, and Bayern Munich were prepared to pay £90m.
