L-Tido was a beef with AKA, a South African hip-hop artist. AKA posted on Facebook in 2009 to publicly discredit L-Tido while commenting on a song featuring fellow artists Da L.E.S. and Bongani Fassie from the group Jozi, and Maggz. The South African hip-hop scene was awash with this news, and artists began to fight. Both artists recorded diss tracks after the beef, ending the public row between them and South Africa’s most popular beef. Thato almost lost his rap career due to the beef.
