Where can I find the BIN on my credit or debit card?

You can find the BIN on the front of your credit or debit card, usually at the beginning of the card number. The BIN is typically a six-digit number located on the left-hand side of the card. It is also known as the Issuer Identification Number (IIN).

For example, in the card number “1234 5678 9101 1121,” the BIN would be the first six digits “123456”. Some cards may have a longer BIN, but it is always the first set of digits in the card number.

If you are having trouble locating the BIN on your card, you can also check the back of the card for a four-digit code known as the Card Verification Value (CVV). The CVV is used for security purposes and is typically located to the right of the signature panel.
