Mason Mount is poised to undergo a medical at Manchester united today ahead of his £60million move.
Mount, 24, is set to be Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the season as the attacking midfielder prepares to leave chelsea after climbing through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge.
After weeks of negotiating, United and Chelsea reached an agreement on a £55million fee with £5million worth of add ons for the England international.
Mount previously agreed personal terms at Old Trafford before a fee was settled with Chelsea, seeing him set to become United’s fourth highers paid prayer earning a basic £250,000-per-week, climbing to £300,000-per-week including bonuses.
And now according to Fabrizio Romano, Mount will undergo medical tests on Monday before penning his five-year deal at Old Trafford, with his contract also including the option to extend for an extra year – taking his deal until 2029.
Mount’s medical had previously been delayed as he was away on holiday at the time a deal was struck with the Blues. But the transfers confirmation is now imminent after he was snapped arriving at Carrington in a blacked-out Mercedes van.
