Who scored for Liverpool against Toulouse? Goals from Diogo Jota, Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mo Salah saw Liverpool keep up their 100% record in UEFA Europa League Group E as they hammered Toulouse 5-1 at Anfield. Liverpool have made winning at Anfield look straightforward this season — and it was no different against Toulouse. Jurgen Klopp’s side maintained their perfect record in this season’s Europa League with an emphatic victory over the Ligue 1 side in an entertaining encounter. Our experts analyse the big talking points from another satisfying outing for the Merseysiders… Gravenberch’s big night When Liverpool went shopping in Germany for the final item on their list this summer, they were sure Ryan Gravenberch was the answer. Klopp predicted that the young Dutchman, who arrived with just hours of the transfer window remaining, would shine. He just needed the opportunity to play. So after a settling-in period, Gravenberch, still only 21, was handed his first back-to-back starts in 18 months this week and he didn’t disappoint. Taking up an attacking midfield position, where he caused havoc across central- and left-sided areas, the £34million ($41.2m) signing from Bayern Munich blended guts with guile. His desire to race up and down helped his team out defensively, but it was in possession that he really excelled. Every time Gravenberch got hold of the ball, he tried to make something happen. Granted at times he appeared set on hogging the headlines himself. When collecting a big switch to the left midway through the first half, he cut inside, tracked back, and appeared to have held onto the ball for too long before finally forcing a decent save out of Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes. His driving run through midfield that helped set up Darwin Nunez was one of the stand-out moments in the game, though, as he wriggled through the back line with ease, showing just how important his ball-carrying skills are going to be for Liverpool in the future. After drawing two fine saves in the second half from Restes, he managed to cap his fine display with a goal after firing in the rebound after Nunez had somehow contrived to miss an open goal. It was the least he deserved.
